Gary Brooks Solo |

leader/producer/agent boasts over 40 years of
professional experience with successful groups
such as: Cherry Stones, Whisper, Merlin’s
Minstrels, Emerald City, Thunder Road, Wild Bill
and the Rhythm Kings and Gary Brooks Band. He’s
amassed a repertoire of thousands of songs
throughout his extensive career which included
fifteen years of full time “roadwork” on the
east coast from Florida to Maine in the
seventies and eighties. He has opened for Ike &
Tina Turner, Vanilla Fudge, Buddy Miles Express,
Eddie Money, Paul Butterfield Band, Rick Danko
Band, Mink DeVille, Del Shannon, Dickie Betts
Band and many more. He has released two original
C.D.’s: “Lost in the Shuffle” and “Milayne
Jackson & Gary Brooks …Goin’ With The Flow”. He
founded “Brooks Entertainment” in 2000 striving
to provide the best live music acts in Upstate
N.Y. for any function. |

Gary Brooks Band |
Gary surrounds himself with the
best available musicians from his network for
each particular occasion depending on what is
desired by the client. Being proficient in
classic rock, soul, blues or country rock styles
he has a combination of players to satisfy
almost any audience. The picture is of his most
frequent lineup: Doug Abramson: bass, vocals;
Scott Garling: drums, vocals, guitar; Milayne
Jackson: vocals, percussion; and Dave Seaman:
guitar, vocals. The band features a captivating
Milayne Jackson fronting the show, great lead
vocals from all five of the members, danceable
hit song selections, a tight, energetic rhythm
section, tasteful guitar work from Dave Seaman
and Milayne’s uncanny ability to draw the
attention of the audience and keep them involved
in the band’s presentation during the whole
show. It’s a rock ‘n’ rollin’ soul extravaganza
that gets people on the dance floor who never
danced before!_

Milayne Jackson
& Gary Brooks Duo |
“Definite star quality”, that’s
how Mark Frost, editor of “The Chronicle”
describes Milayne Jackson. With her years of
experience and vast collection of songs, Milayne
is able to customize every set to fit the given
audience in front of her. Her stage charisma is
undeniable and unchallenged. She is truly
magnificient and somehow turns every set into a
show. Far from being just another singer,
Milayne is truly a “personality” in the most
marketable sense. When she performs there is
“genuineness” that exudes from her. It is a
“special gift” that cannot be taught by any
mentor to any student. One must be born with it,
she has it. This talented and popular Glens
Falls native and Gary Brooks apply their soulful
vocal styles, innovative harmonies and energetic
arrangements to some of the best classic R&B,
jazz and classic rock favorites from the past
forty years. Their C.D.: “Milayne Jackson and
Gary Brooks…Goin’ With The Flow” was released in
October 2006.

Milayne Jackson Trio |
Featuring the alluring Milayne
Jackson’s entrancing vocals and charismatic
stage presence, this tasteful trio is perfect
for jazzing up your special occasion. Milayne is
by far one of the top female singers from New
York. She got started in the early seventies
with popular local bands: “Blue Train”, “Spice”
and Al Poole’s “In Action”. She hit the road in
the late seventies with “Sleek and Sassy” and
“Signed, Sealed and Delivered”. “Cocoa” traveled
the Midwestern states in the eighties. During
the nineties she sang with various choirs at
inspirational concerts and fund raisers and
started her collaboration with Gary Brooks in
his nightclub acts and recording projects. Her
first C.D., “Milayne Jackson and Gary
Brooks…Goin’ With The Flow” was released in
October 2006. Her trio in the picture includes
the highly-respected Frank Conte on saxophone.
For a “rockier” version sometimes the trio
includes guitarists Joe Mele, Dave Seaman or
Jeff Kingsley. |

Thunder Road
Band |
Dave Seaman, guitar and lead
vocals, originally founded “Thunder Road” in
1990. Gary became a full time member in 1992 for
several years and still performs with the act
occasionally. Dave Seaman is a human
encyclopedia of classic rock songs. His ability
to fulfill almost any classic rock song request
is uncanny. Dave and Gary also perform as “The
Thunder Road Duo” (in the picture) for special
occasions sometimes. The band or the duo feature
great vocals and instrumentation (guitar,
keyboards, bass, drums). Exciting song
selections are from Marshall Tucker Band,
Eagles, Allman Brothers, Grand Funk Railroad,
John Cougar Mellencamp, Eric Clapton, Joe
Cocker, Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Doors, Rolling
Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Z.Z. Top, John Fogerty,
Steve Miller, Loggins and Messina, Crosby,
Stills, Nash and Young, James Taylor, Van
Morrison, Bob Seger, and Santana. Great songs
from a great band equals a very satisfied
audience!

Rhythm Kings
|
‘The Rhythm Kings” are the most
exciting and versatile roots music group in the
Northeast Region. They have an uncanny ability
to transform themselves at a moments notice.
They can be a straight up traditional
Chicago-style Blues Band, then lean towards
classic R&B and soul or an oldies/classic rock
band without losing credibility or quality.
Covering songs from the greats like: B.B. King,
Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Ray Charles, Joe Cocker,
Sam Cooke, Wilson Pickett, Big J. McNeely,
Delbert McClinton, Elvis, Otis Redding, Bob
Seger, and Stevie Ray Vaughn – how can you go
wrong! Playing the most infectiously danceable
tunes and grooves, these natural born
entertainers promise to deliver good times and
good-time music: Glenn Wynroth - guitar, vocals;
Dave Sisson-drums, vocals; Scott Talmon-bass
guitar , vocals; Gary Brooks-keyboards, vocals.
The band was originally formed by the late and
great “Wild Bill” Hesch.

Saints & Sinners Band |
“Saints and Sinners Band” is an
interesting “gumbo” of classic rock, rhythm and
blues, country rock and excellent original
songs. Jeff Kingsley’s husky voice, wit and
story telling through his original songs and the
bands’ musical and vocal talents keep the
listener fully entertained. The combination of
instruments makes a very unique sound: two
guitars, keyboards, harmonica and saxophone.
Each member of the band is an excellent lead
vocalist: Jeff Kingsley-guitar and vocals; Jack
Benedetti-guitar, vocals; Gary Brooks-keyboards,
vocals; Joe LeBrou-harmonica, vocals; Tom
“Boots” DeCelle-saxophone, vocals. They cover
songs from: Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Van
Morrison, Hal Ketchum, Vince Gill, Alabama,
Gordon Lightfoot, The Band, Willie Nelson, Bee
Gees, Eagles, Eric Clapton, Beatles, Allman
Brothers, Santana, Traffic, Brooks and Dunn, Bob
Seger, and John Fogarty. Kinglsey’s
“story-songs” feature regional topics and
interesting situations.
